School Student Extra Curriculum
In most public and private schools in the Dominican Republic, they offer extra-curricular activities to their students.
The objective is to encourage proper use of leisure time after classes have ended. It allows students to become interactive, with teachers as well as students in an informal setting.
The students have an array of choices of activities, linking them to cultural, sporting and social themes. Listing some of these are, Yoga, Math Club, Reading Clubs, Soccer, Volleyball, Chess, Music and many others.
The many choices help to improve their personal and intellectual knowledge as well as cultural experiences.
Some towns have workshops set up to develop carpentry skills, cooking skills, mixed in with fun for all to learn more about the world around them.
