There is a large fleet of vehicles throughout the area to provide a transportation services nationwide. These services are available in the Dominican Republic 24 hours 7 days a week.
Public Cars
The system of public cars (“Conchos”) consists of private vehicles that travel a specific route daily and in which passengers can choose where to stop. This is one of the main forms of transportation within cities throughout the Dominican Republic. Nevertheless, this system is not very reliable and vehicles may be somewhat uncomfortable, as drivers try to fit as many people as possible within them.
